A report indicates that Apple is preparing to launch a thinner and lighter version of the 9.7-inch iPad in March 2013.
Quoting from Macotakara, 9to5 mac reports that the new iPad will likely adapt a design similar to that of the iPad mini an iPhone 5 with black-slate cover and white-silver exterior design.
According to the reporting:
According to my inside source, iPad(5th) may be released in March, 2013. Source told that, the design of this new iPad will be like an iPad mini in detail, and be thinner and lightweight. The expectation comes to have a small 4mm in height, 17mm in width, depth 2mm.
If this turns out to be the case, for the first time, Apple will be releasing two generations of 9.7-inch iPads in a 12 month period. The same might be the case for the iPhone according to reports.
Analyst Peter Misk of Jefferies & Co. suggested that Apple will deviate from their annual release cycle and launch the next iPhone already in June 2013.
