TSMC Expanding Production of Touch ID Sensors For The iPad Air 2 And iPad Mini 3 [Rumor]

A new report from China Times (via MacRumors) suggests that Taiwan based company – TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) is expanding production of Touch ID sensors for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

TSMC is reportedly looking to produce 120 million Touch ID units in 2014, a 233 percent year over year increase as the sensor expands beyond the iPhone 5s to other iOS devices.

A photo of sketchy next generation iPads has surfaced online which indicates that Apple may indeed bring Touch ID to their iPad line.
