Panel Demand For iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus To Hit 116 million Units In 2014

According to a new report from Digitimes (via China Times) the demand for panels for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is expected at 116 million units in 2014. In other words, Apple is expected to sell a bucket load of iPhones despite critics best effort to reduce sales with ridiculous claims relating to “Bendgate.”

DisplaySearch highlights that panel demand for the iPhone 6 reached 28 million in the third quarter of 2014 while the iPhone 6 Plus reached 13 million for a combined total of about 41 million panels,  Additionally, fourth quarter panel demand for the two units will reach 46 million and 29 million respectively for a combined total of 75 million panels, bringing total panel demand for the two devices to 116 million in 2014, according to the report.
