Sonny Dickson has published new images of the purported rear enclosure of the iPad mini 2. This follows an earlier post of the iPad 5 Space Gray rear enclosure.
Based on the leaks, it’s almost a given that the next generation iPad mini and 9.7-inch iPad will have a new Space Gray color.
Earlier today, purported images of the Gold iPad mini with Touch ID were leaked online. However, the legitimacy of the images is highly questionable, given the fact that the device appears fully assembled. Currently we are only seeing rear enclosures from other reliable Apple rumor sites such as Sonny Dickson’s.
Additionally, the inclusion of Touch ID along with Retina display will increase the cost of the iPad mini 2, which already has a low margin.
