Apple’s next generation iPhone is likely to sport a redesigned volume button according to a new report from MacRumors (via Feld & Volk). New images of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 obtained by Feld & Volk suggest that the volume button on the new iPhone will receded slightly to reduce likelihood of accidental volume changes.
Other highlights from the report include:
- Feld & Volk reported that the embedded logo is very similar to that seen on the original iPhone, but says it is made of “very extraordinary” scratch-resistant metal, with some suggestion it could be a Liquidmetal alloy.
- Another photo shows what seems to be an external camera ring, which measures 6.66 mm in diameter, fits perfectly on the rear camera hole of the shell.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the next generation iPhone at a special event on September 9.
