iPad 5 Cases Show an iPad mini-Like Design
Purported cases of the next generation iPad or iPad 5, are now on sale from an Apple accessory manufacturer and a retailer. The design of the cases indicates that the new iPad will have the same design language as the iPad mini.
Recently, MacRumors published a photo of the next generation iPad case from Apple accessory manufacturer MiniSuit. The case was reportedly created for the fifth-generation iPad, based on data and specifications received from a reliable source.
“The site sent MacRumors photos of the case this evening,” Juli Clover reports for MacRumor. “Case manufacturers often obtain case specs ahead of product releases to get a jump on manufacturing. Creating a case based on measurements can be a gamble, but an early case release can be financially beneficial.”
Based on the dimensions of the case, the iPad 5 is slimmer than the fourth-generation iPad case, which indicates that the next iPad will share design similarities with the iPad mini, Juli Clover reports.
In addition, an Apple accessory retailer, ACC4S is also selling cases for the yet to be announce iPad 5.
MiniSuit expects Apple to announce the iPad 5 in June this year, according to the MacRumor report.
