Apple Suppliers To Continue Producing During Chinese New Year to Meet Demand

UDN – Taiwan based website is reporting that Apple suppliers will continue production during Chinese New Year to fulfil huge demand for Apple’s iPad mini and iPhone 5.

According to the report, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd. will be operating a certain amount of production lines during the Chinese New Year to meet the market demand for Apple’s products. The

The Lunar New Year holiday is set to kick off  in February next year and the celebration of the new lunar cycle usually has a big impact on manufacturing in the country. Many manufacturing plants across China typically shut down for 15 days as people celebrate the festival. This is because tens of millions make long trips back to their home towns from the industrial cities.

Apple’s printed circuit board supplier Flexium Interconnect is expected to operate its plant in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, through the Chinese New Year, and has trained a large number of students for the production, according to the report.
