Photos of purported front panel of the iPhone 5C has been leaked by Weibo microblogger –ictech.
The iPhone 5C is currently referred to as the low-cost iPhone by the media. It will reportedly come in multiple colors, polycarbonate body shell, 4-inch display and sport a 8-megapixel camera.
A recent report by the CLW organization all but confirms the existence of a cheaper iPhone.
Here is one of the many incriminating paragraphs in the report:
During the period of our investigation, Pegatron Shanghai had begun producing the cheap iPhone. Because this new iPhone product is evident in the early stages of coming to market, some of the production lines for the cheap iPhones are only carrying out low production quotas. Though workers on these lines are not made to do as many overtime hours as workers on other Pegatron lines, workers on the cheap iPhone lines still need to do over a dozen hours of overtime per week. However, because Pegatron workers depend on overtime to make a reasonable wage, these workers’ livelihood will be affected.
The iPhone 5C is expected launch this September alongside iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5S will be the premium version of the two handsets. The iPhone 5S will reportedly feature a 12-megapixel camera, Aluminum body and fingerprint scanning technology.
