According TechRadar, Motorola has revealed that they are in the process of developing a smartwatch at MWC 2014.

“It’s our intention to deliver interesting wearable technology – we are developing a watch which will be coming out in the next year,” Rick Osterloh, SVP product management, said at the event. “Our main focus is that we will start to solve a real user problem in that there are no wearable products you want to wear – all because they are all extremely ugly.”

Rick Osterloh said:,”We’ll be announcing [the watch] in a few months so stay tuned, but [wearable] is very interesting to us.”

The company has also taken to Twitter announce, “We are working on a watch that will be available this year. We aim to address consumer issues like style & battery life.”

Google has recently announced the sale of Motorola Mobility to Lenovo for $2.91 billion. According to Google CEO Larry Page, “Lenovo has the expertise and track record to scale Motorola into a major player within the Android ecosystem. They have a lot of experience in hardware, and they have global reach.”
