According to a report from ZDNet KoreaHyundai Kia Automotive Group announced that they will be integrating Apple’s Siri into its vehicles, however the company did not reveal which model.

At Worldwide Developers Conference in June, Scott Forstall, Apple’s senior vice president of iOS Software announced that Apple will be partnering with nine car manufacturers to integrate an “Eyes Free” feature in their cars using Siri voice control

“You’ve heard of hands free before,” Forstall said. “Hands free allows you to keep your ands on the steering wheel while you use your phone.

“Well, we want to integrate Siri even better with the car. And so we’re working with a number of car manufacturers to enable you to use a button right on the steering wheel to bring up Siri. List included: BMWGeneral MotorsMercedes-BenzLand RoverJaguarAudiToyotaChrysler and Honda.

According to the report, Siri will be activated when an iPhone running Siri is connected  vehicles’ infotainment system. Users will then be able to use Siri’s Eyes Free mode to control various functions such as turn-by-turn navigation. Ideally, having a single button fully integrated in the dashboard/steer wheel would have been a better solution.

The report also states that vehicles will come with Google maps fully integrated in the Infotainment system.
