Steve Hemmerstoffer of NowhereElse fame, conducted a comparative analysis of an alleged photo of the iPhone 5S back panel with the back panel of the iPhone 5. The results of the comparison strongly suggest that the leaked back panel is that of the iPhone 5S.
Key highlights from the findings include:
- Some of the holes cut in the upper part of the shell of the iPhone 5 are slightly different from those that have been cut in the alleged iPhone 5S back panel. This supports the rumor that the iPhone 5S will be equipped with a more powerful digital camera and a dual LED flash.
- Differences in the positions of attachment points on the motherboard of the two models were observed.
- A purported motherboard supposedly designed for the iPhone 5S fits perfectly into the back panel.
