Bloomberg: Ford Switching Employees to iPhones From BlackBerry

Bloomberg has reported that Ford is about to issue iPhones to 3,300 employees by the end of the year, replacing the Blackberry smartphones currently used by the company in the process

In an interview with Bloomberg, Sara Tatchio, a Ford spokeswoman stated that 6,000 more employees will receive iPhones over the next two years, replacing flip phones. Ford is also has a job listing where the successful applicant will be charged with the “global deployment of corporate iPhones,”

“We are going to get everyone on iPhones,” Tatchio said. “It meets the overall needs of the employees because it is able to serve both our business needs in a secure way and the needs we have in our personal lives with a single device.”

Apple has recently announced a major partnership with IBM To create business software for iPhones and iPads signally the company’s growing ambition to dominate the mobile enterprise market.
