According to a new report from MacRumors (via NowhereElse) Apple’s next-generation iPhone – iPhone 5S could feature a Dual – LED flash component.
This is based on new photographic evidence of the purported iPhone 5S camera module without an attached ribbon as seen in the iPhone 5. It’s speculated that the lack of this ribbon component strongly indicates that Apple will use a dual -LED flash in the next generation iPhone.
This leak also confirms an earlier report on MacRumor which showed a next-generation iPhone with a pill-shaped dual-LED flash to replacing the current circular flash on the iPhone 5.
According to the report, “A dual-LED flash would improve the performance of the iPhone’s flash, creating better lit, less harsh flash photos in low light conditions.”
The iPhone 5S is also expected to come with a 12-megapixel rear camera with a larger aperture for improved low light photography and sport a new slow motion photography mode to complement its current panoramic capabilities called Mogul.
