Tech.Sina: Foxconn Exported Nearly $30 billion Worth of iPhone From Henan Province

Today, Tech.Sina is reporting that despite rumors that iPhone 5 demand is weak, nothing could be further from the truth.
According to the report, The Zhengzhou Customs department recently announced that the Henan Province saw an increase in import-export revenue of $ 51.75 billion last year, an increase of 58.6% compared with 2011.
The big news here is that the Foxconn Group has a big operation in this region. Henan Province is said to be one of the Apple’s iPhone 5 main assembly takes location, with more than 50% of the world’s iPhone 5 shipments are out of Henan Province.
Foxconn group total import-export revenue in Henan Province reached $29.39 billion in 2012, accounting for 56.8% of the total import-export revenue in the province. The total revenue from all phone shipments from Henan Province stood at $3.47 billion in November 2012, up 310% YoY, and indicating significant growth since September and October 2012.
However, despite the end of the year sales trend is still relatively strong, total phone exports in December 2012 showed an increase of only 251% YoY compare to the 310% YoY seen in November 2012, according to the Tech.Sina report.
