‘Gunmetal” Grey SIM Card Tray Hints at Fourth Color iPhone 5S
It’s widely accepted that Apple will be launching the next-generation iPhone 5S in three colors: Silver, Black and Champagne. However, the leak of a “gunmetal” color SIM card tray by Japanese blog – ASCII JP, suggests that the iPhone 5S might just be a fourth color in the mix.
According to the report, the new gunmetal grey SIM card tray was first published by MOUMANTAI.
ASCII JP tried the new SIM card tray with other colors of the iPhones and found it was either too tight or the color did not match.
Of course, this leak should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, it’s important to note that ASCII JP was the first blog to publish high resolution photos of the champagne color iPhone 5S.
The iPhone 5S is likely to be launched at a yet-to-be-confirmed Apple event on September 10, the same source as the initial champagne gold casing leaks, so they shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand.
