Digitimes is reporting that Inventec is expected to land 60% of orders for an Apple iWatch.
According to the company’s website – Inventec has a TAO RD center, and cloud computing service center for the design in Taiwan. Inventec also research and manufacture notebook, consumer electronics, mobile communication, wireless communication, and server products.
This order from Apple is likely to contribute about 19% of Inventec’s profits in 2014, according to an analyst at CIMB Group.
“The analyst expects Apple’s iWatch to be priced between US$149-229 and consumers will purchase the device mainly to replace their iPods,” the report states. “The analyst pointed out that Apple’s iWatch shipments are estimated to reach 63.4 million units in 2014.”
