Total iPhone 6 Production Capacity To Hit 120 million This Year; It’s Likely To Feature 1 GB RAM

According to a new report from CIOTimes, a Chinese based news agency,  the main Foxconn factory located in Zhengzhou, Shenzhen is currently gearing up to ship  the first 70 to 80 million iPhone 6. Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou has reportedly made several visits to the site to ensure operation is going smoothly, the report said.

The iPhone 6 is estimated to reach a total production capacity of 120 million this year, the largest shipment in the history of the iPhone ,  according to the report. Foxconn is expected to deliver at least  70% of this order.

According to the report:

[su_quote]The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is at mass production stage, is about to complete the test inspection. The 5.5 inches iPhone 6 is still in the pilot phase, the estimated completion of the test examination by the end of August. If the yield is below the standard, 5.5-inch iPhone may be delayed.[/su_quote]

In other news, Weibo members GeekBar (via GforGames) is reporting that the iPhone 6 will maintain the 1 GB of RAM as its predecessors. However disappointing this may be to some, Apple is sure to optimize the hardware and software the next generation iPhone to attain optimum performance.
