Today we have the purported photo the back panel view of the iPhone 5S. This image was first published on Weibo. Hence, the authenticity of the photos is debatable to say the least.

However, this image is similar to a photo of the iPhone 5S camera published by MacRumors back in June.

Both of these photos suggest that the next-generation iPhone will have a pill-shaped dual-LED flash. This new dual-LED flash is likely improve the performance of the iPhone’s flash, producing better photos in low light conditions. It is widely reported that the iPhone 5S is expected to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and improve aperture.

Another rumor suggests that the camera on the iPhone 5S will have a new feature called – Mogul Mode.

Writing for 9to5Mac, this is what Mark Gurman had to say about the new feature:

Besides a dual-LED flash setup and perhaps a 13MP Sony-designed sensor, we have discovered that Apple is designing a new iPhone camera feature called – Mogul mode.  A mogul is defined as “a powerful person in a media industry,” making the word a perfect codename (or even a marketing name) for a new iPhone camera feature. The discovery, shared with us by Hamza Sood, comes by way of hidden references inside of the latest iOS 7 betas.”

According to our analysis and testing of the code, “Mogul” is a feature in development that allows the iPhone to capture video at an exceptionally fast and precise rate. Specifically, our testing indicates that the feature can allow the iPhone to record video at a rate of 120 frames-per-second (FPS). The resolution at which this 120FPS video could be recorded at, however, is currently unclear.

Two new versions of the iPhones, which include a low-cost iPhone, are expected to unveil at a special event on September 10. A new report suggests that iPhones will then go on sale on September 20.

According to CNET:

New iPhones will arrive in Japan on September 20 with a gold iPhone 5S option in tow, Japan’s Nikkei reported Wednesday.

SoftBank and KDDI will handle sales of the iPhone 5S and 5C, according to Japan’s largest business daily. NTT Docomo is not expected to sell the new iPhones, Nikkei added.

The U.S. announcement is expected on September 10, the report noted.

In addition to the conventional black and white models, a new “champagne gold” will be offered, the newspaper said. This reinforces widely-reported rumors about that color option for the iPhone 5S.
