Codes In iOS 8.1 Beta 2 Confirms Apple Pay Is Coming To The iPad
According to recent tweets from Apple develper Hamza Sood, codes in the latest iOS 8.1 beta reveal that the iPad will indeed feature Apple Pay services. However, the device will not allow users to pay in store. The Apple Pay service on the iPad will be restricted to in app purchases, Hamza Sood said.
Additionally, it appears that Apple Pay will be integrated into the current Passbook app. iOS 8.1 beta 2 shows an initial set up screen. After completion, Apple promises that users can make purchases in store and in apps without swiping your card or entering your card and shipping details.
iOS 8.1 along Apple Pay will likely see a public release on or soon after Apple’s special event scheduled for October 16.
