According to an exclusive report from uSwitch mobile blog the next-generation iPhone (iPhone 5S or iPhone 6) will be called iPhone 5G. This version is not to be confused with the low cost iPhone, which is referred to as the iPhone 5C.
uSwitch managed to get their hands on an image of the next-generation iPhone package. The label on the package read “iPhone 5G” and not the iPhone 5S that many expect.
“As confirmed before, the four-inch screen comes in at the same dimensions as that of the iPhone 5, with the near-identical positioning of buttons and other fixtures and fittings indicating that it’s business as usual when it comes to the phone’s design,” Jonathan Leggett writes for uSwitch. “In fact, the only really notable difference is that there’s a longer ribbon cable. So far, so familiar, then. And perfectly in tune with rumors that the phone’s improvements will be restricted to its internals.”
Despite this new revelation, it’s not a given that Apple will call their next-generation iPhone – iPhone 5G.
