Apple Files For iWatch Trademark In South Korea

According to a new report from Patently Apple, Apple continues to show their interest in the “iWatch” moniker by filing for a trademark in South Korea as recently as last month.

Patently Apple also dismissed claims made by the world’s largest watchmaker – Swatch Group AG that Apple will be in trouble if they use the iWatch name. The company promises to take action against Apple over the use of the iWatch name since it own iSwatch trademark.

“While their paranoia of Apple obtaining the “iWatch” brand, the fact is that more than 22 companies already own the brand name,” Jack Purcher writes for Patently Apple. “And beyond all explanation, Apple keeps applying for this trademark. In fact, they just filed for this trademark in Korea last month.”
