French Tech blog NowhereElse has published a new photo of the backlight panel destined for the next generation iPhone. The posted explained that despite not being 100% sure of the legitimacy of the photo, it’s very likely that we are looking at the real deal.
According to the blog post:
[su_quote]The author of these photographs , the component in question had indeed been designed to be fixed to the back of an LCD panel measuring 4.7 inches diagonally .
I would first like to say that I am absolutely not able to ensure the reliability of this source and thus assert that the panel backlight is indeed intended to be slipping behind the screen of iPhone 6 . having said that , the fact that its design is identical to that of the panel found in the iPhone 5s.
Sure, we could just be facing an backlight panel for iPhone 5s but this is clearly not the case . As you may realize by yourself through the small comparative mounting above the design and positioning of the connector of this component differs slightly from one room to another. We mainly observed that the record of the panel that is supposed to have been designed for the iPhone 6 is a little shorter than the panel of the iPhone 5s and it is slightly eccentric.[/su_quote]
